Suspects in Kyrenia Car Gallery Arson Remanded for Up to Three Months
Four suspects accused of torching two vehicles at a car dealership in Kyrenia have been ordered to remain in custody for up to three months.
According to a report by Ahbab Gazetesi’s Devrim Demir, Mehmet Gürler, Muhammed Talha Kömür, Mehmet Efe Kilimci and Selahattin Pancar allegedly poured flammable liquid on two parked cars at the Kyrenia Auto Gallery, causing damages amounting to 4,717,000 TL.
During the court hearing, police officer Mehmet Dağdelen testified that all four suspects had entered the country on 30-day tourist visas and had no ties to the country, requesting that they remain in detention until trial.
The court ruled that the suspects be remanded in prison pending trial for a period not exceeding three months.
