Minimum Wage Determination Commission to Convene on 26 December
Labour Minister Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu has invited all parties to the ministry on 26 December. The Minimum Wage Determination Commission will convene on that date.
Hasipoğlu announced on BRT that the first meeting ahead of the new year will take place at 09:30 on 26 December.
“It is our duty to protect minimum-wage earners, and it is also our responsibility to safeguard the social state. I held preliminary discussions with both employer and worker representatives and listened to their general concerns. Minimum wage negotiations officially begin in January, but since the parties wish to meet in advance for preparatory talks, I can initiate this process earlier. On Friday, 26 December, I can convene the Determination Commission for consultations with us,” he said.
