Tourism Record In Southern Cyprus: 4.3 Million Visitors In 11 Months

According to data released by the Statistical Service of Southern Cyprus, the number of tourists visiting the south of the island between January and November 2025 increased by 12 per cent compared with the same period a year earlier, reaching 4,377,114. As of November, the figure had already surpassed the total number of tourists recorded throughout the whole of 2024.

The data indicate that a new record has been set in tourist arrivals to Southern Cyprus, with 4,377,114 visitors recorded by the end of November.

Politis newspaper, citing figures published by the Statistical Service, reported that 3,907,137 tourists visited the Greek Cypriot-controlled south between January and November 2024, while the number rose by 12 per cent to 4,377,114 during the same period in 2025.

The newspaper noted that, as of October, tourist arrivals had already exceeded the levels recorded during the entirety of 2024.

It also reported that, compared with November 2024, when 179,941 tourists visited Southern Cyprus, arrivals in November 2025 rose by 30.4 per cent to 234,580.

Haravgi newspaper, meanwhile, reported that trips abroad by Greek Cypriots increased by 14.1 per cent in November 2025, reaching a total of 137,210.
